What is Information Design?

Members of the CDDC honed their skills with a degree in Communications specializing in a new and fairly unknown field called Information Design. Some of the best quotes to describe ID are below:

“Information design is defined as the art and science of preparing information so that it can be used by human beings with efficiency and effectiveness. Information design’s primary products appear as documents and as presentations on computer screens.” - Robert E. Horn from Information Design

“Information designers are very special people who must master all the skills and talents of a designer; combine them with the rigor and problem-solving ability of a scientist or a mathematician; and bring the curiosity, research skills, and doggedness of a scholar to their work.” - Terry Irwin from “Information Design: What is it and Who does it?” at aiga.org
